Why Train Foundry
Share
Did you know:
- 1 in 2 Americans report feeling lonely.
- 61% of young adults report serious loneliness.
- 15% of men report not having a SINGLE close friend.
- Over 42% of U.S. adults are obese (BMI ≥ 30)
- Nearly 75% of U.S. adults are either overweight or obese (BMI ≥ 25)
- 1 in 5 kids in the U.S. is obese
I'm a numbers person by training, and these numbers are heading dramatically in the wrong direction.
Being a father of 4, I myself have fallen into one of those statistics or I have an irrational fear that one of my children will one day, so why not start something to help slow those numbers down and to pull myself and many others out of these statistics.
Which is what lead into the idea of Train Foundry.
What Is Train Foundry?
A Foundry is where raw material is melted down and reshaped into something strong, useful, and enduring. That’s the image we chose because it reflects exactly what we’re building ~ a place where we are refined through challenge and community.
“Train” speaks to the daily pursuit. The practice. It’s about training the body, yes, but also the mind, the character, and the heart. To lead. To protect. To serve. To stand strong for what matters and to not accept the norm.
Together, Train Foundry represents this core belief:
Strong people aren’t born - they’re forged through training and being surrounded by those on a similar mission.
Why We Really Exist
Too many people (including myself) today feel isolated, exhausted, or unsure of what they're really building, including their health. We believe that strength training coupled with conditioning and the opportunity to be a part of a community can change that if done right. No one has ever said they feel worse by being strong and surrounded by a good group of people striving for the best out of life.
at Train Foundry, you don’t just build your fitness or strength- you build:
- Your discipline
- Your relationships
- Your legacy
Who It's For
We built Train Foundry for the person who:
- Is looking for a community, not just a gym
- Is willing to humble themselves to be better
- Is done playing small or not playing at all
- Wants to prioritize training and nutrition
- Believes parenthood is strength, not sacrifice
- Wants to push themselves physically and grow mentally
You don’t need to be elite to train here. You just need to show up ready to do the work, with purpose.
What to Expect
At launch, we’re keeping it real and simple:

- Open Gym for those wanting equipment for strength, conditioning, Weightlifting, or functional fitness.
- Community events, coffee mornings, and accountability sessions among members.
We’re starting small, but our vision is massive: to redefine what a gym can be - not just a place to get fit, but a place where meaning and community can be built.
